On a warm Friday night a couple weeks ago my wife Cindy and I headed up the mountain to Floyd, Virginia for an evening of food and music at the famed Floyd Country Store. There’s always a full lineup on the main stage but many choose to wander the streets to experience the many impromptu jams that breakout on both sides of Main Street. After a little barbecue and cornbread, we hit the street to get our ears tickled. We didn’t have to walk far to get sucked into the sweet sounds coming from a four-piece band set up next to the store. We found a perch on an old bench where I worked on these sketches of the band and gallery. Pure heaven!
